145 people at France’s annual ‘Fête de la Musique’ reported being assaulted with needles. The musical festival takes place in several locations across the country.
The assailants attacked women with injections, which left them feeling confused and vulnerable. It is not known what was in the injections.
More than a dozen women and girls were hospitalised as a result. The Mayor of Metz says 17 of the victims were between the ages of 14 and 20.
Ahead of the festival, influencers warned that calls had been made to target women with syringe attacks.
