Since launching Me&B in 2018, the mother-daughter duo behind the size-inclusive fashion brand have gone from strength to strength.
Avid customer Sara-Jayne Makwala King attests to the joy their colourful, quality clothing brings.
What happened is that she and her mom, Betina Swart - 'not small girls' - were disappointed trying to find something in the marketplace that catered for them, says Kelly Gibbard.
"We are not size 34 and we couldn't find something that fitted us, that expressed our personalities, and that made us feel good... that was on-trend with beautiful quality fabrics. We felt there must be others who feel the same, and we started!"

The pair both have a background in fashion, and starting a business to fill this gap turned out to be a perfect fit for them.
"We get beautiful letters from happy customers... We had this one woman who'd never worn pants and she found her first pair in our store! She was elated."

Me&B now has a number of stores in both Gauteng and the Western Cape, supporting 11 factories in Cape Town.
The mother-and-daughter team have obviously come to know their customer base, and are able to supply just what they're looking for.
"Our customer likes to be a bolder woman, so with the brighter colours she can be; she wants to be comfortable and she wants to be fashionable."
Betina Swart, Co-founder - Me&B
"I do believe that fashion is something that should be for everyone. It is incredible to see how the brand has changed people's lives - we are so so proud of what we do!"
