Mamelodi Sundowns will head into their final FIFA Club World Cup group clash against Brazil’s Fluminense FC on Wednesday, 25 June.

With only the top two teams from each group advancing to the Round 16, it will be a make-or-break situation for Masandawana.

After two matches played, Sundowns are in third place in Group F with three points following a victory against Ulsan and a narrow defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Fluminense top the group with four points after a win against Ulsan and a tough draw against Borussia Dortmund.

Speaking after the Dortmund defeat, Coach Miguel Cardoso said he was proud of the team’s performance.

“[Fluminense] is a very competitive team… I expect a very tough opponent, for sure. But again, I will appeal to us to be ourselves, to be aggressive, to enjoy, to have pleasure, because without those things, you cannot play our football. If we put ourselves on that level, we can compete.”

Kick-off is at 9 pm (SA time), live from the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, USA.
