Sometimes you just forget about things you put in there for later or sometimes things have sentimental value and you just want to hold on to the memories.

EB has cupcakes - one with Lightening McQueen fondant and the other with Spiderman on the top that's been cryogenically preserved since his son's first birthday... his son is now 17 years old.

Yes, those momentous cupcakes in EB's freezer are 16 years old. Oulik!

On to the K-fam, the longest things harbouring in their freezer include:

Cold meats (5 years old)
Cupcakes (13 years old)
Puff pastry (2 years old)
Frozen chicken (3 years old)
Red bait for fishing (over a year old)
Cupcake toppers (4 years old)
Wedding cake: the top tier from 1989 (36 years old)
Piglet cake (25 years old)

In darker confessions, some wished they kept their mothers in law in their freezer - ai shame.

Meanwhile, others realised that the "best before date is more of a suggestion because if it smells and looks okay, it's okay, you can't just throw stuff away because someone else suggested it." - Is the math, mathing?

Turns out, cupcakes are a common freeze-for-years-later item and we loved to hear it!
