On 18 July, the country celebrates Mandela Day.

To mark this day, South Africans are encouraged to give 67 minutes of service in honour of Nelson Mandela’s sacrifices for the country.

This year, Jozi My Jozi is inviting corporate and community partners to participate in meaningful, community-led change through its initiative ‘Adopt a community project. Create a lasting impact’.

It has curated a selection of projects across the city, including everything from revamping police stations to supporting local food gardens.

Each project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and has been assessed for sustainability, feasibility, and genuine community need.

Robertson states the aim is to use Mandela Day as a springboard to establish long-term partnerships with their supporters and community leaders.
