Six-year-old Asheeqah Noordien disappeared in June 2005 while playing at a park in Scheldt Walk, Manenberg.

At the time, there were rumours that her family sold her to settle drug debts, which they vehemently denied.

They would constantly check in with Manenberg SAPS to find out if there was any progress in their search for her.

Twenty years later, they have been informed that there is a small chance that she may be alive and living in Khayelitsha.
