Tiffany Nicole Meek is accused of killing her 11-year-old son Jayden-Lee Meek in May.

She was arrested last week and was due to have her bail hearing on 18 July.

The state was set to argue against granting her bail, when her lawyers asked for the bail hearing to be postponed.

This means Meek will spend the weekend in jail.

The Fleurhof community has been outraged by the case, with one person saying that if she is granted bail the community will ‘deal with her’ because she shows no remorse.

They are also furious that they are not being allowed into the courtroom.

“We are being undermined. Give her bail… we will kill her here outside. We will pay the bail.”

James says the accused knew she was a suspect in the matter weeks before her arrest, but did not say anything.

She believes that if she is innocent she should have called for assistance from the community and shared what was happening.
