The 5 Arts Weekend is back on Friday and Saturday (18 and 19 July).
The event is hosted by Karoo Art Hotel's 'Creative Conductor', renaissance man, and Stormers Coach, John Dobson.
Dobson returns to Barrydale for the third instalment that promises to be filled with food, music, comedy, rugby, and laughter.
Tickets are available from R150 on Quicket.
Packages are also available and include access to:
- Francois van Coke's Music Concert on Friday night (with a meal and a beer or glass of wine - vegetarian option available); Fokofpolisiekar will also perform.
- A cycle ride with Dobbo on Saturday morning; (bring your own bicycles);
- A South African lunchtime with a feast of Karoo Lamb with Skilpadtjies, Karoo Lamb Chops, Braai Broodjies, etc (vegetarian option available);
- A masterclass in rugby with World Cup winners Steven Kitsoff and Deon Fourie, and John Dobson, Mark Keohone and more;
- A viewing on the big screen of the South Africa vs Georgia Test match;
- And comedy by Pieter G, Karoo Arts' legendary Harleydale and DJ Jaco Messenheimer will also entertain.
Some proceeds from this event will go to the Barrydale community, where the focus will be on upgrading infrastructure, getting those vulnerable to social ills off the streets, while creating a sense of purpose.
