Nou Praat Jy! Competition - entries are almost closed

When: 25 and 26 June 2025 but entries close on Thursday, 24 April 2025

Where: Curro Durbanville High School

About the event: Curro Durbanville High School proudly invites high schools across the country to enter their most seasoned team for the prestigious 'Nou Praat Jy!' public speaking competition.

Two learners must team up and present the speech in unison.

The theme is Afrikaans - ‘n taal van kleure en klank.

The winning schools and winners get R10 000 each, runners-up get R6 000 each and third place winners get R4 000 each.

The competition will take place on 25 and 26 June 2025 at Curro Durbanville High School.

About the event: Meet the Easter bunny, go Easter egg hunting, spend time in the tea garden, paintball, kids zone and more. Also, entry to this event is free.

Benefit Concert for a Beloved African Musician: Clint Cunningham

When: Friday, 25 April 2025
Where: Woodstock Brewery
About the event: Clint Cunningham has recently been diagnosed with brain cancer and needs assistance with his exorbitant medical bills.
He has delighted countless fans across the country's Barnyard Theatres with his band Clint and Co, tributes to Creedence Clearwater Revival, U2, Joe Cocker and many more.

The Villains MCC 11th Night Jol

When: Friday, 25 April 2025, 7pm 
Where: WPMC Clubhouse, Killarney 
There will be prizes for:

  • Best Spirited Club

While food and goods vendors will also be on-site. The event is also in support of a charity called, Lilly Rose Community Farm.
