From the NBA to the European Leagues... and now the Saudi Pro League, the 31-year-old is taking the basketball world by storm.
King’s team, Al Ittihad from Egypt, is currently competing in the 2025 edition of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), where they sit at the top of the Kalahari Conference.
The playoffs and finals will take place at the SunBet Arena in Times Square, Pretoria in June.
“There are really good teams [in the BAL], that’s the reason why they’re headed to the final. But if we’re going to want to complete our mission, we are going to have to play better than we did in Morocco.”
– George King, basketball player
Whether you’re an avid basketball fan or looking to experience something new, the BAL is worth checking out, says King.
“You don’t necessarily need a trained eye to enjoy.”
– George King, basketball player
