The South African side got their FIFA Club World Cup campaign off to a good start this week after defeating the South Korean side Ulsan 1–0.
Iqraam Rayners scored in the 36th minute, and Ronwen Williams made two saves to guide the team to victory.

Despite being on international turf, South African and other African supporters came out in their numbers to support Sundowns.
