It has been a stellar first season for Cardoso as Sundowns were officially crowned Betway Premiership champions on Sunday (18 May).
The Brazilians secured their eighth consecutive title after defeating Magesi.

It was a phenomenal season for Costa, the tournament’s top goal scorer.
“I am very happy with my season. It was a very difficult season because Sundowns has too many games. I am not used to playing after three days… The coach, the players, the staff, they push me all the time… They help me.”

The focus now shifts to the CAF Champions League where Sundowns will take on Egypt’s Pyramid FC in the two-leg final on 24 May and 1 June.
The club will also be playing in the FIFA Club World Cup in June.
