Katiso 'KT' Molefe was arrested for the murder of engineer Armand Swart in December 2024.
On the day of his arrest, Malcom X rang former Hawks boss Godfrey Lebeya, which led to allegations of interference in the arrest.
X says he only called Lebeya because he believed impersonators were attempting to pose as police officers at the scene.
He claims that the individuals at the scene refused to identify themselves, which is why he made the call to verify.
Lebeya allegedly confirmed that no Hawks members had been dispatched to the location and sent a team to verify the situation.

However, Lebeya previously stated that a police informant had contacted him, while X insists he has never been an informant or provided any information to the police.
“You have got this weird back and forth about who to believe.”
