947’s Anele and The Club are in conversation with Nelia Ngulube of Yaya’s Rusks.
Listen below:
From being a nanny for 16 years to becoming a viral baking sensation...
Ngulube's rusks are a hot commodity, so much so that Cindy Poluta herself could not get her hands on them.
She originally learned how to make them from the grandmother of a family she was working for.
Adding a little bit of ‘Yaya Love’, Ngulube began to sell them in the Parkhurst community.
The team got to have a taste test, and needless to say, everyone wanted seconds!
"On Monday morning [at 8am], we open the link and you can order a maximum of four packs… collection is on Saturday."

“You see, this is a rusk with character and personality, not just one taste the entire time... the rusk must do the talking.”
– Anele Mdoda
