The Good Laugh: Comedy for a Cause

When: Thursday, 8 May 2025, 6pm for 7:30pm

Where: SACS Junior School, Main Hall

Tickets: R180 on Webtickets

The event features comedians such as Stuart Taylor, Carl Weber, Kagiso Mokgadi, and Phil de Lange.

Refreshments will be sold.

Alphen Antiques & Collectables Market

When: Sunday, 11 and 25 May 2025, 10am to 3pm

Where: St Joseph's Marist College Hall off Belmont Road, Rondebosch

A variety of items will be on sale. Entry is free with ample parking and refreshments available.

Open Winter Warmer Fitfuntastic Event

When: Saturday, 10 May from 8am to 12pm

Where: Virgin Active in Cape Gate

The event is open to members and non-members and will kick off with a non-aerobic warmup for every fitness level.

Thereafter, 30 min programme tasters including Cycle, kick, shape and stretch.

There’s adequate safe, parking at the Lifestyle Center while prizes are up for grabs with free class entry giveaways.

Bring along your ID for indemnity purposes, towel, water bottle and an additional jumper in case the day starts on a chilly note.

Mother's Day Market

When: Saturday, 10 May from 10am to 4pm

Where: Monument Park High School, Windsor Park, Kraaifontein

A local market with food trucks, home baking, toys, homemade gifts, accessories and more to spoil every kind of mom.

Open Africa Championship (OAC) 2025

When: 7 to 9 May 2025

Where: Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC)

About the event: This international competition will bring together 100 youth robotics teams from South Africa, across Africa, and around the world and is set to be one of the continent’s most dynamic showcases of youth talent, robotics innovation, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Disney Alladin Jr.

When: 9-17 May

Where: The Drama Lab, Table View Primary

Disney’s Aladdin Jr. has all the familiarity and sing-along nostalgia of the 1992 academy award winning film and the hit Broadway musical we all know and love so well. Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Jafar and of course, the Genie, will sweep you away on the roller-coaster tale of the street rat who learns that his true worth and wealth lies deep within.
