After significant backlash, the City of Cape Town announced that it would revise the 2025/26 budget.
The City of Cape Town Collective Ratepayers Association (CTCRA) collected thousands of signatures rejecting many aspects of the budget.
On Monday, they met with Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis to discuss their concerns.
Zuidberg says the expenses in the budget were too high, and there were not enough measures to collect revenue from sources other than ratepayers.
