US President Donald Trump has blasted Iran and Israel for violating a ceasefire, just hours after he announced on social media that one had been agreed.

Trump's post came just hours after explosions were reported in Tehran, and Iranian forces launched attacks on American military bases in Qatar.

But on Tuesday, Israel said missiles were launched by Tehran hours after the truce took effect, even though Iran denies launching fresh attacks.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said that Israel 'started dropping bombs' as soon as the deal was made.

"They've been fighting so long and so hard, that they don't know what the f**k they're doing."

On Sunday, the US used 'bunker-buster' bombs on nuclear facilities at Fordow and Natanz, as it stepped in to assist Israel in its war with Iran.

Trump claims the attacks destroyed Iran's capacity to build nuclear weapons, but Rasool says there is no evidence of that.

"The fact is, had Donald Trump really obliterated the nuclear capacity of Iran, we should today be having a sense of radiation coming out of that destruction."

"The truth is, either whatever highly enriched uranium Iran had was removed prior to the time, or it did not exist in those places."
