That's just been proven again by a 7-year-old in the US, who's gone viral after a long conversation with his mother, figuring out for himself that she and his dad are actually married!
Mom Kat Parker captured the precious moment and the video's racked up 7.3 million views since she posted it on TikTok.
The young boy starts off by explaining he's noticed the pair hugging and kissing, as he pieces together the clues.
'Now I think you guys are married' he concludes, as mom looks on in wide-eyed astonishment.

The Parkers actually have three children and have been married for 23 years.
They have another son of 23, and a 19-year-old daughter.
As a leadership and life coach, mom Parker realised the value of this conversation with her 'laatlammetjie'.
With leading questions, she guides the youngster through what would have been his parents dating process up to the time that he himself was born.
