WATCH: 947’s Anele and The Club team up with Leroy Merlin to make a family's bathrooms wheelchair accessible

You may remember Jermaine, whose story captured the hearts of 947’s listeners, Anele and the Club and Leroy Merlin.

A close family friend reached out to the team in April this year looking for assistance to make the family’s home more accessible for Jermaine and his father, who are both wheelchair bound.

"I am asking if the City can help me make Jermaine and his dad's life a little easier by renovating their two bathrooms to be more disabled-friendly. Also, the main entrance of their home has stairs which ideally would need to have a ramp. I know this a long shot, but I know I had to try."

A month later, the team caught up with the family to see how their new renovations are treating them.
