Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen was arrested for protesting during a US senate hearing.

Ben Cohen, the co-founder of the popular ice-cream brand Ben & Jerry’s, staged a protest during a US Senate hearing to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The 72-year-old was arrested, along with eight other protesters.

If convicted he faces 90 days in prison or a $500 fine.
Cohen shared a video of his arrest on X.
“They're killing poor kids in Gaza by buying bombs, and they're paying for it by kicking poor kids off Medicaid in the US.”

In addition to his ice-cream venture, Cohen is known for his political activism and has been arrested at several other protests in the past.
