A couple living in the countryside in Canada captured a bizarre phenomenon on camera.

After a bolt of lightning struck about a kilometre from their house, a strange ball of light appeared floating above the ground.

It appeared to grow bigger and bigger, lasting for about a minute.

“It was a sort of light bubble floating about seven metres above the ground.”

The couple managed to capture just over 20 seconds of footage before it disappeared.
