WATCH: Mamma raccoon saves dangling cub from rooftop fall in incredible feat of strength

In the western Pennsylvania town of Franklin, a heartwarming moment was caught on camera as a mother raccoon rescued her baby from a fall off a rooftop.

The video shows the cub dangling in midair, desperately clinging to its mother, who held on using her mouth with fierce determination.

Suspended upside down from the edge of the roof, the mother raccoon grips the eave with her hind legs while clutching the scruff of her baby with her mouth, both hanging perilously with nothing but the ground far below.

After a tense few moments and an incredible show of strength, the mother manages to haul her cub back to safety.
