Listen below:
On 26 June, a meteorite fell from the sky and pierced through the roof of a home in McDonough, Georgia.
Hundreds of residents of Georgia and nearby states reported seeing a ‘fireball’ and hearing a loud booming noise as the meteorite travelled.
Researchers have examined the meteorite and found that it was likely formed 4.56 billion years ago.
This would make it roughly 20million years older than the Earth.
