On 10 February, for the first time in 10 years, new chicks were born at the aquarium's African penguin colony.

Named Ember and Echo, the babies aren't so little anymore.

Over the past few months, they have reached many important milestones — their first shower on the Kelp Forest platform, hand-feed, and beach day.

Another first is pending as the aquarium finds out the genders of the baby chicks - and everyone's invited to share the experience.
