DA leader John Steenhuisen has slammed President Cyril Ramaphosa’s decision to remove Andrew Whitfield.

He has accused the President of having a double standard when it comes to the treatment of ANC ministers who face serious allegations.
Steenhuisen also alleged that Whitfield was removed for being effective and challenging matters like the transformation fund and lottery tender.
The DA has threatened the ANC with ‘serious consequences’ if Whitfield is not reinstated within 48 hours.

Roos says that if the DA does not leave the GNU over this, they are likely to put forward a motion of no confidence.
