JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) is set to continue with its national executive committee (NEC) meeting in Boksburg on Monday.
This will see an ordinary session of the governing party’s highest decision-making body in between conferences conclude ahead of it convening a lekgotla in the afternoon.

The NEC lekgotla extends an invitation to the ANC’s alliance partners and regional structures and is used to map out the year’s programme for the former liberation movement.
The ANC is expected to communicate its decision on how it plans to deal with its former president Jacob Zuma, who’s been campaigning for the recently registered uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.
NEC members have been deliberating over the matter over the weekend, along with other issues, including the renewal of the organisation and the fast-approaching general elections.
While several NEC members remain cagey about the matter, some have suggested it's best to issue the former party leader with an immediate suspension and to conclude the issue after the national polls.
Zuma stands accused of contravening the organisation’s constitution by campaigning for another party that is not in alliance with the ANC.
