CAPE TOWN - KwaZulu-Natal police have made a breakthrough in their investigation into the murder of one of their own.
Sergeant Sakhile Manyisa was found dead in a flat which he shared with his fiancé in oThongathi on 24 June 2022.
Over the weekend, detectives arrested the deceased's fiancé at her workplace in Waterloo.
The police's Robert Netshiunda said the accused is expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrates Court on Monday.
"With no information coming out of those who could have possibly seen or heard something, the investigating team pulled out all stops in the search for justice and all pieces of information led to the then fiancé, who was duly arrested."
