Braamfontein shooting leaves three dead and two bystanders seriously wounded

JOHANNESBURG - Three people have been shot dead in Braamfontein, Johannesburg and two others who are believed to be students have been seriously wounded.
While details are still sketchy at this stage the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) said the shooting occurred on Thursday afternoon in the university surrounded neighbourhood.
JMPD Spokesperson Xolani Fihla said police have launched an immediate investigation into the matter.
Before confirming another death, Fihla said: "Four people have been shot from this incident. Two were in a vehicle and two were bystanders, who were found to be students. The motive for the shooting is unknown and SAPS are processing the scene," said Fihla.
