However, with the aflatoxin scare that has pulled peanut butter off the shelves, it is probably the last thing anyone that anyone wants to eat right now.

Almond butter
Almond butter is not only delicious but is also healthier than peanut butter. According to USA Today, it has a similar protein content to peanut butter, but is higher in magnesium, calcium, potassium and fibre.

Sunflower Seed butter
Sunflower seed butter is a commonly used peanut butter alternative for those who are allergic to nuts.
It has less sugar than peanut butter, but similar protein and healthy fats, and is great to use in recipes that call for peanut butter.
Hazelnut butter
When you think of hazelnut butter, you will probably picture the famous Nutella and its delicious chocolatey taste, although there are plenty of different hazelnut butters on offer.
