JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Water says residents of Linden and Blairgowrie can expect an improvement in water supply from Friday.
The two areas were hardest hit by water interruptions after the Eikenhof pump station was struck by lightning two weeks ago.
While other communities managed to recover over the last week, Linden and Blairgowrie have been struggling with poor water pressure to no water.
Joburg Water's Logan Munsamy said Rand Water increasing supply to the metro has contributed to this improvement.
"Our Blairgowrie reservoir which has been empty over the days is now at 65%, which is impressive."

According to the post, water from the city's taps is not safe for consumption because it contains typhoid flu.
The city has described the post as misleading and is urging residents not to fall for the information it contains.
"This false message, which came to the city’s attention lists the symptoms of typhoid flu as well as precautionary measures,” explained City of Tshwane spokesperson.
