JOHANNESBURG - The Azanian People’s Organisation (AZAPO) is waiting for a response from the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) on its vandalism complaint.
AZAPO approached the commission after one of the party's elections billboard was damaged during the week in Braamfontein.
The party said it suspected this was part of a campaign by some political formations.
AZAPO Spokesperson Jabu Rakwena said they also opened a case of malicious damage to property with the police.
"We indeed are surprised that there is intolerance of black parties, and yet not the same amount of intolerance is demonstrated towards white political parties. The IEC has not responded to our complaint as yet."
