Sean Gunn, who has made massive contributions to Marvel Universe, is in attendance for a special guest appearance at the event!

Gunn is well known in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, playing Kraglin Obfonteri in Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Endgame, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 while Rocket from the franchise is also based on Gunn's movements.

Gunn says it's his first time in Cape Town and "it's a beautiful city with friendly people".

For Gunn, the best part about Comic Con are 'nice' fans which is a great experience 'in a time where niceness is undervalued in the world'.

"The best thing about Comic Con in general are the fans. They are so welcoming and the community of people who enjoy this kind of thing is strong and respectful."
- Sean Gunn, Actor
"Being able to do these conventions and see people in all these different places who love it so much is great. They're such a nice group of people in a time where niceness is undervalued in the world."
- Sean Gunn, Actor

How did Gunn become a legend?

Talent runs in the family.

Gunn recalls growing up in Missouri which he says is not 'a state known for the entertainment industry' but his siblings all went into different directions in the same industry because they grew up watching movies with his now famous Hollywood director brother, James Gunn, who sometimes directs Sean in movies too.

Does Gunn think AI will take over?

"AI is going to have a big effect on the entertainment industry, especially when it comes to recreating digital worlds and characters. One thing we're fortunate about is that one of the hardest things for AI to learn how to do is to tell new and interesting stories that other humans find interesting too so we're always going to need human beings for that - at least for the next couple of decades - we're going to need human beings to be the real story tellers and that's what we do."
- Sean Gunn, Actor

What's next for Gunn?

Gunn says he has finished some smaller Indie films which he loves, worked with his brother, James on 'Superman', did some work as 'Maxwell Lord' for the DC Universe and weaseled around for 'Creature Commandos' which is set for release later this year.
