Local comedian Leon Schuster (71) says he is 'not in a good place' after his second surgery.
He had back surgery in August last year after falling from a van and injuring himself during the filming of 'Mr Bones 3'.
However, while recovering at home, he fell again and had to undergo a second surgery.
Speaking to YOU, Schuster says he has 'been through a rough patch… absolute hell'.
"I’m not in a good place, I’ll be honest with you… But I’m in a grateful place."
Schuster says he still has one more surgery scheduled, but first, he has to lose 15kg.
He now relies on a walking stick and has been warned that, if he falls again, there will be no going back.
"…that’s why I try to lie here in a straight position and keep my spirits up with a bit of light-heartedness. I trust in the Lord and the doctors – these are my two sources of strength from which I draw my hope,” he says.
