JOHANNESBURG - The African Transformation Movement (ATM) says quotas are needed to ensure the inclusion of the LGBTQI+ community where there is a lack of visible transformation.

The debate is centred around issues affecting queer voters ahead of the upcoming general elections.
ATM youth leader, Bafana Tshabalala, says queer visibility is still a major issue in many sectors of society.
"We need quotas when we speak of inclusivity. You cannot say people are marginalised and they are a minority group and do not include quotas when you want to bring about equality."
The Queer Quantity is hosting an election debate around LGBTQI+ issues.
