Wanda Banda features in the critically acclaimed movie 'Woman King', where she stars alongside Viola Davis. She's also in local productions such as 'Plan B' with Arnold Vosloo, 'Heart of the Hunter' and 'Blood & Water' season four.
The 24-year-old explains that acting found her.
"I think I knew that I'd be an entertainer, but I didn't think it would happen this early and in this way. I thought I would be a singer..."

Banda started her unintentional acting career when German classes didn't work out in high school.
She transferred to drama class and continued with it throughout university.
"I was sad for a bit that I could only do acting and after school I wanted to pursue traveling and work on a cruise ship, but I had an incredible mentor in my life who encouraged me to try for something and I applied for Drama at University and got in... it was exactly what needed to happen and sometimes we think we know where we should go, but I believe in God and my God showed me where I needed to go."
