Investigations into deadly Touwsrivier crash involving 3 trucks ongoing, says WC dept

CAPE TOWN - Investigations are ongoing following a multiple truck crash on the N1 near Touwsrivier. 

Wednesday night's crash involved three trucks and caused three deaths, with one person sustaining minor injuries. 

It's believed two of the trucks caught alight. 

The Western Cape Mobility Department's Muneera Allie: "We confirm that the incident on the N1 near Touwsrivier last night is still under investigation. At present, three fatalities are confirmed and one person sustained minor injuries. A stop & go is currently in place."
