PRETORIA - The Democratic Alliance (DA) is calling for Tshwane councillors to do the right thing and vote against the removal of its coalition in the capital city.
Mayor Cilliers Brink is due to face an ANC-sponsored motion of no confidence against him on Thursday.
DA supporters arrived outside the City of Tshwane council chambers in Pretoria to show support for their embattled councillor.

The ANC, EFF and ActionSA have confirmed their councillors will be voting for the removal Brink.
These three parties alone, hold a combined 55% of all seats in council, making the prospect of Brink losing his job a foregone conclusion.

DA Gauteng chairperson Fred Nel said it would be disastrous if brink and his administration is removed.
“It’s disappointing these parties are banding together to remove a government that is working, that is stable, that is starting to deliver services just as we turn Tshwane around.
“We are very concerned a change in government will bring about destabilisation of Tshwane and turn it into Joburg which also experienced political instability and if that happened it will also affect service delivery,” he said.
