ANC NEC to conclude member cases in front of integrity commission - Mbalula

JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Fikile Mbalula says the party’s highest decision-making body will conclude cases involving members who have appeared before its integrity commission.
The party’s national executive committee (NEC) began its four-day meeting at the Birchwood Hotel, in Boksburg, on Friday afternoon.
Discussions regarding the integrity commission of the ANC will feature prominently during this weekend’s NEC meeting.

The ANC’s Integrity Commission ensures the party’s members uphold its values and ethical standards.
Justice Minister Thembi Simelane recently appeared before the commission regarding a questionable loan she received from the now-defunct VBS Mutual Bank fixer.
Mbalula said such integrity issues should be concluded this weekend.
"We will deal with matters related to the integrity commission and finalise the cases that have been referred to the NEC by the commission that affect different comrades."
It's understood a proposal will be put on the table to refine the integrity commission’s terms of reference.
