Gauteng Health Department confirms 393 Christmas Day babies

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko has welcomed 393 Christmas babies this year.
MEC Nkomo-Ralehoko alongside government officials were at the Tembisa Hospital, in Ekurhuleni, on Christmas Day to welcome the bundles of joy with gifts and cheers.
She encouraged parents to ensure that their children are registered within 30 days after birth.
The MEC’s spokesperson, Motalatale Modiba, also stressed the importance of taking their infants through all necessary immunisations.
“The MEC has continued to wish all of the different families a prosperous New Year, wishing them well as they embark on a new journey with their young ones.”
