JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal's Premier, Thami Ntuli, has praised the police for their swift action in tracking down the suspect linked to the kidnapping and murder of Ayabonga Mjilo.
The 23-year-old was last seen leaving a restaurant in Umhlanga on Christmas Day.
After she failed to return home, her family notified the authorities, leading to a probe that uncovered her body at the suspect's home in Inanda on Saturday.
Ntuli has also expressed heartfelt condolences to Ayabonga's family and friends during this tragic time.
The premier also emphasised the need for justice to prevail in this case.
He will join the Mjilo family at the Durban Magistrates Court on Monday, where the accused, who's facing murder and kidnapping charges, is expected to appear.
