CAPE TOWN - Capetonians in the northern suburbs are advised that road maintenance is being carried out on Jakes Gerwel Drive between Viking Way and Voortrekker Road.
The work will continue for the next year.
Cape Town's Urban Mobility councillor, Rob Quintas, said construction vehicles were not allowed on-site during peak traffic periods in the mornings and afternoons.
"The work areas will be demarcated on a daily basis to regulate traffic flow through the affected area, with possible lane closures while reconstruction of the road is in process. Traffic travelling in both directions will be affected and road users are urged to consider alternative routes while construction work is underway."
