JOHANNESBURG - Mpumalanga police have arrested two people in connection with the torching of 51 Putco buses.
A group of criminals stormed the bus company's depots in the Nkangala district on Monday night.
A security guard was shot and wounded, while two Putco employees were injured after they were assaulted.
The police's Donald Mdhluli said the two suspects were arrested on Tuesday night.
“During the arrest of the suspects, one of them was found with a mobile phone suspected to be that of one of the victims, as well as an empty magazine for a 9-millimetre pistol without any ammunition.”
