Netflix 'Bloodhounds' star Kim Sae-ron (24) dies

South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron has been found deceased in Seoul.

The 24-year-old was discovered in her residence in the Seongsu-dong district on Sunday, 16 February, by a friend.

Authorities have stated that there were no signs of foul play and are currently investigating the cause of her death, Yonhap News Agency said.

Sae-ron began her acting career at a young age and quickly gained recognition as one of South Korea's most promising actresses.

Born in Seoul in 2000, she first gained widespread attention for her role in the 2009 film A Brand New Life, which led to her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sae-ron went on to star in South Korea's highest-grossing film of 2010, The Man from Nowhere, and the 2012 thriller The Neighbour, for which she received multiple awards before going on to star in the hit Netflix K-drama Bloodhounds.
