Scientists working for Clone Robotics have built what could be described as a humanoid robot which moves disconcertingly just like, well, a human.
The company, apparently operating in Poland and in the US, describes its 'Protoclone' as 'the world's first bipedal, musculoskeletal android'.
A video of the faceless robot coming to life while hanging from the ceiling has gone viral, racking up 46.5 million views just on X.

Detailing what makes the Protoclone unique, Clone Robotics says it is an anatomically accurate synthetic human with over 200 degrees of freedom, over 1,000 Myofibers, and 500 sensors.
The android's designers claim it can walk, talk and be tasked with completing menial household chores, according to Live Science.
Comments on the unsettling video range from a wholehearted 'awesome', to just 'creepy', with one person questioning why robot companies are trying to make their promo videos look 'so ominous'.
'While this alternative line of robotics may start slow, in just two years it could surpass humanoid robotics', predicts another.
