Listen below:
Relations between the United States and South Africa are at an all-time low, partly fueled by claims from AfriForum and Solidarity that Afrikaners are being unfairly targeted by laws such as the Expropriation Act.
Director-General of Dirco Zane Dangor has led a delegation of officials to the US to set the record straight.
The US delegation included Brendan McNamara, Troy Fitrell, and other high-ranking personnel from the White House, the State Department, and the US Treasury.
The purpose of this meeting was to address misconceptions about South Africa’s policies and strengthen bilateral relations.
