Lester Kiewit chats to Matthew Jantjies-Green about some binge-worthy series options.
Listen below:
Jantjies-Green's top three options to binge are:
- Teacup (Showmax):
"What makes this show interesting is that they have to deal with the cracks in their relationships and the interpersonal storylines between them... It's great performances and a good mystery especially if you like science-fiction invasion-of-the-body-snatchers type genres."
- Matthew Jantjies-Green
- The Studio (AppleTV):
"It's about the producers and the marketing department and the people who pull the strings and the people who are more concerned with money and ego than with the quality of the project... It does feel slapstick and over the top but it does feel based on real experiences and the types of people you would encounter in a Hollywood machine... You've also got a lot of people like Charlize Theron and Martin Scorsese playing themselves, so it's quite interesting."
- Matthew Jantjies-Green
- Love on the Spectrum (Netflix series)... is also a Jantjies-Green pick of the week:
"It follows people on the Autism spectrum... What I love about the show is its good-naturedness and the fact that looking for love is a universal experience. Season three is the US version so fan favourites came back for this season... It's such a nice breath of fresh air in this cynical world we're living in."
