The impacts of drug addiction go far beyond the life of the individual struggling with substance abuse.

If someone in your family or friendship circle has ever battled with drug addiction, you know how far reaching the damage can be.

Family, friends, and even colleagues’ lives are affected, and many do not know where to turn.

That is why the Cape Town Drug Counselling Centre offers support not only for those battling with substance abuse, but also for families that need help coping.

These programmes also help the families learn how to best support their struggling family member.

Established in 1985, this facility offers evidence-based rehab programmes at three different branches in Observatory, Mitchells Plain and Atlantis.

Cape Town Drug Counselling Centre has both inpatient and outpatient facilities for those seeking help.

Watermeyer says they also offer an aftercare programme for those who have completed their outpatient programme.
