The Standard Bank Art Lab, in Nelson Mandela Square, is designed to reimagine how people engage with contemporary visual art.
The artistic hub of the work features the likes of William Kentridge, Sam Nhlengethwa, and Penny Siopis.
“Standard Bank has a massive corporate art collection of about 1,000 pieces. I identified a very unique aspect of this collection, which is the craft of tapestry making, so the selection was driven by this.”

“The collection itself is a very rich resource for inspiration and engagement.”
