JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) believes it's building a strong case against the man accused of murdering a 14-year-old girl in Roodepoort.

Likhona Fose's mutilated body was found a day after she was reported missing in an open veld, not far from her home on the West Rand.
The case was remanded for seven days to allow the State time to gather more information to oppose the bail application that would be brought forward.
"In respect of the bail application process, the profiling of the accused will give us into detail as to whether or not he has any pending cases, any previous cases," said NPA spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane.
"Obviously, as and when we find such information, that information will be presented in court in trying to paint a picture that should we find such information, we will obviously be putting it before court, painting a picture to court that he has a propensity of committing violent crimes."
The matter will return to court on the 18th of June. Where the accused will bring forward a formal bail application.
