Videos of a 32-year-old New York woman, Leanna Perry, are going viral in which she can be seen pulling another passenger’s hair and spitting on fellow travellers during a Southwest flight.
The incident occurred aboard a flight departing from LaGuardia Airport to Kansas City in the early hours of June 17.
Perry claims her infuriated response was fueled by the woman seated next to her, who was 'too fat' and refused to sit next to her.
Authorities were notified at 1.10 am local time. Perry was subsequently removed from the aircraft and has been charged with aggravated assault under New York State law.
The crime can carry up to seven years in prison.
It's assumed that Perry had consumed too much alcohol.
